Our company was founded by Chris and Charlene Livingston in 2015. The name Dead Rock has a deep family significance. It originated with two brothers, Raymond and Jim Livingston—Chris’s grandfather Raymond and his Godfather Jim. The Livingston name was often mispronounced as “Livingstone,” prompting the brothers to constantly correct people. Their friends humorously started calling them the “Dead Rock” boys, as a playful contrast to “Living Stone.”

Decades later, when Chris and his wife Charlene were caring for his grandfather Raymond, who had Alzheimer’s and Dementia, they were brainstorming business names. Chris jokingly suggested “Dead Rock” to his grandfather, and to their surprise, it sparked a moment of clarity—Raymond instantly recalled the old stories of the “Dead Rock” boys and enthusiastically shared them. That moment confirmed they had found the perfect name.

Today, Dead Rock Services honors the legacy of Raymond and Jim Livingston. The name represents integrity, hard work, and a commitment to excellence—values that define the company’s mission.
